Allow me to explain! Concept Galaxy is a Creative Team of artists, writers, actors, directors, and promotion specialists that help design and theme interactive entertainment for conventions, trade shows, charity fund raisers, parties, or other similar gatherings. Basically, If you have a dream theme for your event we can help you build it!
The goal of Concept Galaxy is to provide interactive themed entertainment - much in the vein of what is presented at theme parks - to events such as conventions, trade shows, and expos. Examples of our theming services and the various forms of interactive entertainment we provide include theming convention websites and con guides, helping conceptualize mascot characters for conventions, making the mascots unforgettable by integrating them into our productions linear storyline, interactive character panels and scavenger hunts, variety shows, game shows and much more.
The interactive entertainment our creative team provides is also beneficial to event holders as more then just event space filler. Weekend long interactive events such as our custom designed scavenger hunts encourage patrons to stay for the whole thing - by introducing the plot for the games at the convention's "opening ceremonies", running the games on the consecutive days afterwords, and announcing the winners at the event's "closing ceremonies" - we can boost preregistration sales. This also ensures more traffic for vendors throughout the entire event, as opposed to the usual Saturday.
Concept Galaxy started in 2006 under a different name (Galaxy Productions) as an experimental project of Stephanie Chateau's after she expressed interest in wanting to one day have a job similar to one of Universal Studio Florida's Art and Design directors, Kim Grommel. Kim advised Stephanie to try designing interactive events on a small scale first such as constructing a backyard haunted house or helping run a rennasaince faire. Stephanie tucked the advice from Kim away promising herself that after she finished up the conventions she had already planned to attend as an artist, that she would put time aside to focus on designing her own small scale interactive event.
Not long after this conversation took place Stephanie was reminded of Kim's advice while sitting at her artists alley table at a convention listening in on a conversatioin being had by some cosplayers while they were browsing through her artwork. The cosplayers were complaining that there was nothing to do at the convention and they were angry that they had spent money on a ticket just to go somewhere where all there was to do was spend more money buying stuff from the dealers.
The next day Stephanie began planning an event for a con she had already been booked for as an artist called Persacon. She was certain when she pitched the idea the con chair would approve. Trusting her intuition and going with the flow of wherever her imagination wanted to take her the first interactive event "A Weekend in Gion" was born and C.G.'s roots started to form.
For awhile Stephanie directed interactive events practically solo, with some assistance from her close friend and business associate, Heather Scott. A major turning point occured though after C.J. Collins was discovered and began becoming more involved in helping Stephanie with her productions. His clever use of film to help create an even greater depth of interactivity for convention attendees is part of what makes Concept Galaxy what it is today.
As C.J.'s videos and Stephanie's interactive events became more popular the demand for bigger and better productions grew as well. Some of the more multi-facted actors from previous productions began doubling as writers, coreographers, coordinators, promotion specialists, and assistant video editors. It wasn't long after this started happening that the group transformed from Stephanie's personal project to a full blown production team that is the modern day Concept Galaxy Team.
Hmm! This is a somewhat difficult question because their is no short answer.
You see, our Creative Team consists of a mixture of members with varying expertise's and different levels of professional experience depending on the team member and what area they specialize in. Some of our crew members have years of professional experience in the field they specialize in while others started out on the convention scene as hobbyists and were picked up by Concept Galaxy based on a mixture of their talent, charisma, and attitude.
The best way to get a feel for just how much experience the team has as a whole is to visit our past productions records so you can see just how many events we've run at other conventions. You could also visit the Concept Galaxy Creative Team Bio's to see more about each members individual work experience, education, and awards won in relation to how they benefit the team and the conventions they provide entertainment for.
Chances are we would like to come to your con just as much as you would like us to.
Below are some tips on how you can get us both what we want!
If you are a fan of our events...
The best way to get what you want is to let your voice be heard. Go to your local conventions website and sign up to their message boards or e-mail them letting the convention owners and directors know you would like to see Concept Galaxy perform at your favorite con!
If you are a staff member of a convention...
Your best bet is to make a suggestion at your convention's next staff meeting. Let the rest of the staff know why you think it would be a good idea to have Concept Galaxy put on a production. Show them your favorite videos or photos of past productions and see if they agree. With enough entheusasm and passion you might just get what you want!
If you are the owner/director of a convention...
Please shoot us an e-mail letting us know of your interest using our handy dandy contact page. Our team will reply back as quickly as possible to try to work something out with you that will mutually benefit both our parties and the convention attendees we ALL care about entertaining!

Really? Say! Did you know we have an online community? Here, Let me provide you with a short cut link to our official message boards. We also have a facebook group. Why I even have my own facebook page along with some of the other Concept Galaxy mascots (such as Dr. Ama) where you can tag notes, photos, and reviews for everyone to see! You can also leave messages on our Concept Galaxy youtube or on our film director's youtube at lolfilmworks.
There are two different youtube channels you will want to subscribe to if you want to keep up with what is going on with the Concept Galaxy Crew in the way of videos. Since the majority of the film work is overseen by our film director C.J. Collins, you will find most of it on his youtube channel lolfilmworks. There is also an official Concept Galaxy youtube channel created mainly as a place to keep track of and favorite other people's recordings of Concept Galaxy performances and interactive hallway activity. On rare ocassion promotional videos for events are uploaded to the Concept Galaxy youtube as well but this is only if our video director is too busy to over see a project and another member of staff has to take care of it in his absence.
Many of our members can be reached through the contact section of our website. If a member of the team does not have a way to be contacted via this method you can also try sending an e-mail to our producer ( Steph@conceptgalaxy.com ) and she will pass along your message. This does NOT guarantee you will get a response back (as several members are not online as as frequently as others, or are just very busy people) but your message WILL be passed along.
For the moment we are no longer actively seeking new talent, however you are free to send in a resume, new talent, however you are free to send in a resume, head shot, video audition, or list of characters/cosplays you have on hand along with your contact info so that we can put your information on file incase we have a specific need for a production.
For the most part we like to think we've got enough ideas for shows between all of our Creative Team to last us quite some time, but our producer also believes it is important to listen to what people in the community we serve want. We're also big on encouraging creativity at Concept Galaxy, and keeping company with like minded creative individuals. That's why we created open forums for discussion on both the Official Concept Galaxy facebook and here on our website.
Many members of the Concept Galaxy Team regularly review the forums so chances are high your idea will be reviewed and considered. Sometimes though, an idea is good but the recourses are not around to make it happen right away. If the idea is really good and we are able to apply your idea to one of our events we will approach you to discuss your idea further. You will get credited for any contribution you provide that is used.
Oh? Really? Well... Then... For starters I suppose I could give you this short cut to the Concept Galaxy Creative Team's Contact Info. Site Admin you can contact her at heather@conceptgalaxy.com You can also try getting in touch with some of the C.G. Staff via our official message boards.
