C.G.'s Producer to "take a break" and "Prop Master" Rick Cape to appear as cosplay guest at AFW 6!
Posted on 12 Jun 2010
In an unusual turn of events, Concept Galaxy's producer Stephanie Chateau has decided to announce that she will be taking a temporary "break" from the convention scene to seek out and obtain "inner peace" and "spiritual yuminess". The length of time of this sabbatical is currently undetermined, but in the mean time congratulations go out to C.G. team member Benjamin Pearce (aka "Ifrit"). He will be temporarily filling Stephanie's shoes as Show Director for stage for C.G.'s appearance at Realmscon 2010.

Rick Cape and Chelsea Borgman to appear as Cosplay Guests of Honor at Anime Festival Wichita 6.
In other news Concept Galaxy's Prop Master Rick Cape has officially been announced for his first guest appearance at Anime Festival Wichita, alongside his lovely lady Chelsea Borgman.

Rick Cape and Chelsea Borgman are a budding dynamic duo in the convention circuit. Both are experienced cosplayers, receiving multiple awards across the midwest and south. Recently, they have just begun their career as convention guests, providing audience interaction, cosplay contests, panels on steampunk costuming and prop production, and radio-play voice acting. The couple were scouted by Stephanie Chateau during Anime Festival Wichita 2009, where they took home Best in Show for their Silent Hill cosplay.
Shortly thereafter, Rick became a propmaster and actor for Concept Galaxy. Early this year, both Rick and Chelsea were hired by Airship Isabella Productions of Austin, Tx. as well. Rick is now an Airship Isabella Landing Party Scout and deranged propmaker, while Chelsea is an experienced conceptual and makeup artist for the group. Both have made it their ongoing mission to bring the steampunk movement to their hometown of Wichita, Kansas.
Congratulations Rick, and Chelsea! It is your turn to REPRESENT and shine brightly on behalf of all of the Concept Galaxy Team this July at Anime Festival Wichita! BUT WAIT. That's not all we've got in store! Stay tuned C.G. sky watchers for even more news announcements about C.G. member appearances and shows soon to come!
Welcome to our new website!

The new v2.0 Concept Galaxy site is now online! Take a peak around if you like... but mind your head and pardon our star dust! We're still under construction with new content being worked on all the time. Even as you read this very sentence! We hope you'll forgive us as we work through our growing pains. If you find any broken links you would like to report please contact us and we'll look into it as soon as possible.
NOTEABLE CHANGES
Defining a Mission Statement
We are very excited at the amount of interest our producer's "creative experiment" has developed over the the last couple of years. Slowly this experiment has been able to be molded and solidified into something more by our team of creative directors. It has become a full blown on-the-go thematic cosplay production troupe that helps collaborate with other cosplay and acting troupes, along with convention directors, and special guest artists related to the industry to work towards providing a higher quality of entertainment for sub-culture events such as conventions, trade shows, expos, and charity events.
The Audition Process
Now that Concept Galaxy's producer has "discovered" and solidified her team of creative directors to serve as advisors in each of the areas that they specialize, our search for stars has come to an end... at least for now. We will not be actively scouting for new talent or hosting auditions for the time being. However, you can still submit a headshot, list of costumes/characters you have readily available, and/or a video of yourself acting in character showing us your special talent using our forums or contact center. We will keep your submissions on file to review. We will then contact you back if we have something specific in mind that we believe you would best fit the part for.
Getting in touch made easier
Our contact center has been updated to be more convienant and efficient then ever before. You can now contact certain creative team members individually if you have specific questions you would like to ask them that are in the area of their expertise. For the members who do not have their contact information listed you can send a message to them via our producer's e-mail contact Steph@conceptgalaxy.com that she will then pass along.
